Operation 7 taken place on 27/07/2009.It was not challenging at all. My hiking buddy even said, it was more like a "walk in the park...". Yes, that remarks a little bit too much, but in overall, i am in agreement with him. trekking to Broga Hill was easy. Anyone can climb up to the top...even Miss B...or Arep....(heheheheh....). but bear in mind, it was easy for us considering we had few hiking experiences. For a starter, you may have some difficulties of climbing up this hill. Nevertheless, in my personal opinion, this is the best training ground for those who want to start climbing/trekking as a hobby. Dun be like me, i started my training with gunung Datuk....which is 2 times more difficult than Broga Hill!
how to get there? here's some info...(copy from my hiking buddy blog.....hahahahah)
If you are from Puchong or Shah Alam, take LDP heading to Kajang area. Drive down towards Semenyih. You'll not get lost following the signboards on the highway. As you exit from the highway towards Semenyih, you'll see a big signboard to University of Nottingham, Malaysia campus. On your right side, there's a Petronas station. Take the exit to the left to Broga town and you'll pass the campus on your left. Two kilometers from there, you'd reach the parking area at the foothill of Broga Hill. It's located in a palm oil plantation right across a Rabbit Farm. You can park your car on the roadside or like most people, they parked their car in the Palm oil estate itself.
Picture speaks more than words.....
We started the hiking roughly around 630am. it was dark still, and it was the very first time we tried our head lamp! it was good, and really helpful!
we reached the first peak around 700am. hm, personally, Broga Hill is not the best spot to view sunrise.
Broga Hill also known as Bukit Lalang. reason being is because the hill itself is full with lalang! i kinda like it. Quite different as compare to other hills/mountains that i had climbed. Most of them are in the forest. Broga Hill in the other hand offered you a different views!
Behind me is the Famous X Trail of Broga Hill!

Autumn in my heart.....Sounds familiar?? hm....
Broga Hill is a famous spot among locals (especially to University Nottingham's students). During the weekend, it can easily reach about 150-200 people on the top! believe me, it is true. i estimated the figure by the number of the cars parked at the hill foot. And look at the picture itself, you can see traffic of humans!
The lalangs on the hill were partly torched. There were patches of burnt lalang here and there. too bad for us, if not the view would be much better...surrounded by greenery!
Er: hm....Next Operation: Gunung Ledang. i heard that the renjer would not allow you to wear seluar askar while trekking. hm....have to buy new selua ar then!
CANTHEKKK.. MACAM DI OBER C
rmi nyer org....ade nampak kyn x??dia kan org nottingham?
it looks very nice. I am sure it looks much better in a few weeks. I intend to go there with my colleagues, good info! Hope I won't get lost finding my way there!
